“To be the Bat, or not to be”
To Bat, or not to Bat, that is the question:
Whether ‘tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The bombs and insanity of the Joker and Riddler,
Or to kick their asses against a Sea of corruption,
For who would bear the whips and scorns of a Catwoman,
Th’ Joker’s wrong, the Penguin’s contumely
The pangs of a Killer Croc, the law’s delay,
The insolence of Azrael, and the spurns
That patient merit of th’ unworthy Bane,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare batarang? Who would combat boots bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after Death,
The undiscovered Gotham, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
